To promote aviation safety through education and advocacy

Picture
Welcome to our website. The Alaskan Aviation Safety Foundation is a membership driven organization. We have one goal for our members, and that is to promote aviation safety whenever and wherever we can. Part of that goal is to deliver value to you, our members, in return for your membership dollars.

The AASF provides seasoned professionals to conduct safety programs around Alaska. We sit at the table of many meetings where aviation issues are discussed and debated, all done with volunteers. We provide scholarships to aviation students each year to help them achieve their dreams of an aviation career.

Lastly, we partner with Public Television and the National Weather Service to produce a TV show, Hangar Flying, that is aired each week in conjunction with the Alaska Weather program. If we help you from having just one minor incident, then your membership is, as they say in advertising, “priceless."

What will you find here?

You may find a list of our current Board of Directors (as well as information on each of them) by clicking here:  Board of Directors.

Please check our EVENTS page for information on any upcoming events, including the Spring Seaplane Seminar, the Palmer Air Fair, and the Fall Safety Seminar: Upcoming Events.

Using the menus across the top of the page, you will find past episodes of Hangar Flying, selected safety briefings, and even scholarship opportunities to help the next generation get their start.

We welcome you to join AASF, and become part of the organization that exclusively focuses on aviation safety in Alaska.
